There are so many different amazing recipes out there, it is going to be very hard for me to pick out ones for this family recipe list. A family recipe is nothing more than a great dish that can serve 4 or more people, so these will all be relatively simple recipes that are great in flavor. Some of these recipes will take a little bit of planning beforehand, so I will be sure to mention that if you will need to lay out certain ingredients to cook longer than others. Other than that, these recipes are sure to be a hit in your house.
First up is one of my personal favorites, and that is bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. While it is not required to wrap the tenderloin in bacon, it does give it some nice juicy flavor and really makes the taste pop in your mouth. Very easy to prepare, all you will need is enough bacon to cover the size of pork tenderloin needed to feed the amount of people that will be sitting at your table. After that, some pepper and maybe a nice barbeque glaze will finish up the dish and you can bake it in the oven. Depending on how much pork tenderloin you are making, it can take anywhere from 15-40 minutes, and this also depends on how slowly you want to cook the pork. The slower you go with lower heat, the more juice it will retain.
Next up is parmesan crusted chicken. Baking this recipe is super easy and all you need is parmesan cheese, chicken, bread crumbs, some salt and pepper, and some herbs to create this amazing recipe. The flavor of the chicken will be held in by the parmesan and when it is baked, it should have a nice crunch to it, but nothing too hard to chew. This dish will probably take over an hour to make, so be sure to have the ingredients prepared and ready to go before it gets too late in the day.
Another great recipe is teriyaki chicken and grilled vegetable skewers. This recipe is very simple to put together and very easy to make. Just choose the types of vegetables you want to put on the skewers, get the chicken and teriyaki sauce prepared, and cook away. This makes for a very easy meal and you can easily tell how many skewers you will need for the amount of people you need to feed. Usually, you will want to put three pieces of chicken and four vegetables on each skewer, with a vegetable like squash or maybe even mushrooms on the bottom so nothing slips down while you are eating them.
These recipes are great family recipes and never get old. You can also have most of the ingredients required for these recipes stored away in your fridge or pantry so that when the time comes when you want to make one of the recipes, all of the stuff you need to make it is right there.
